We empower self-expression, living in the moment, learning about the world, and fostering fun connections. Our core products include Snapchat, Lens Studio (an augmented reality platform), and Spectacles (AR glasses).

The Legal & Policy Team serves as Snap's in-house legal counsel, policy consultant, lobbyist, and strategic advisor. This team ensures Snap operates ethically and effectively, navigating challenges and managing risks across various domains like privacy, product, IP, commercial transactions, corporate governance, employment, and social impact. We are committed to diversity and an inclusive leadership culture aligned with Snap's values: Kind, Smart, and Creative.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Compliance Investigations Manager to join our Integrity & Compliance Team. This role offers the flexibility to be based in one of our key offices: Santa Monica, CA; San Francisco, CA; Bellevue, WA; or New York, NY.

  • Triage and scope all Integrity and Compliance (I&C) cases, assigning those outside the team's purview and collaborating with stakeholders on owned cases.
  • Gather essential case materials from HR, Legal, InfoSec, Global Security, and various business partners.
  • For externally managed investigations, you will select and manage outside counsel, providing necessary case materials, defining scope, identifying interview subjects, reviewing findings, and identifying and sharing remediation recommendations.
  • For internally managed investigations, you will develop comprehensive plans with stakeholders, conduct subject and witness interviews, draft and share findings, and develop actionable remediation recommendations.
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation in all relevant systems for every case.
  • Oversee Snap’s helpline and case management systems.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Snap’s investigations program and procedures.
  • Maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality when interacting with all parties involved.

Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and detailed reports of all I&C cases.
  • Draft concise case summaries as needed for reporting purposes.
  • Identify patterns, emerging trends, and potential risks from investigations, recommending proactive measures to mitigate future compliance risks.

Ethics Program Support:
  • Handle various responsibilities related to Snap's comprehensive ethics program, including:
  • Updating relevant policies and procedures to ensure they remain current and effective.
  • Responding promptly and accurately to team member inquiries.
  • Reviewing and drafting responses to conflict of interest disclosures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • 6+ years of experience in In-House, Law Firm, or Government investigation roles.
  • Strong work ethic and a team-first mindset – a willingness to take on tasks both big and small to ensure successful outcomes.
