Role Overview - Content Producer Specialist

The Content Producer Specialist will join the Content Partnerships team and curate a mix of hard news, creator content, and viral trends. The position requires making editorial decisions on content across Snapchat’s main surfaces such as Stories and Spotlight.

What You’ll Do

  • Curate and elevate a mix of hard news, creator content, and viral trends.
  • Assist with editorial programming across key Snapchat surfaces.
  • Review and audit videos and creator profiles for policy compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Content Ops, Product, Policy, Trust & Safety, and Data Science) to optimize content visibility.
  • Make real-time editorial decisions balancing speed, accuracy, and creativity.
  • Utilize data and audience signals to inform content strategy.
  • Design and deliver training decks and presentation materials.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong editorial judgment and a keen sense for credible content.
  • Deep fluency in internet culture, trends, meme cycles, and creator dynamics.
  • Experience with user-generated content, creators, and publishers targeting Gen Z.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, reactive editorial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal guidance.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in news, digital media, editorial, or platform content roles.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Newsroom or breaking news experience.

Work Arrangement

Snap practices a “default together” policy, requiring team members to work in an office 4+ days per week.

Benefits & Compensation

Snap offers comprehensive benefits including paid parental leave, medical coverage, mental health support, and compensation packages with equity (RSUs). The base salary range varies by pay zones:

  • Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): $89,000-$133,000
  • Zone B: $85,000-$126,000
  • Zone C: $76,000-$113,000
