Job Overview

SMX is seeking a skilled and driven Senior Contract Specialist to support the EPOD/FLS Business Units. In this role you will manage the full lifecycle of Federal Civilian, State/Local, and Commercial contracts, ensuring compliance and successful execution.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administer a variety of agreements including Master Services, Consulting, Software Licensing, Resale, and Statements of Work.
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic contracts including amendments and renewals.
  • Review, analyze, and interpret contract documents to determine obligations and risks.
  • Collaborate with sales, program leads, finance, subcontracts, and accounting teams.
  • Develop, draft, and negotiate terms aligning with both customer and company objectives.
  • Utilize Deltek Costpoint and other databases to track contracts and correspondence.
  • Support proposal responses and manage contract proposal volumes as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in related fields.
  • 8-12 years of experience in Federal Civilian, State/Local, and Commercial contracts.
  • Expertise in contract drafting, review, negotiation, and administration.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills.
  • Experience with cloud service offerings and relevant contract structures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Deltek Costpoint (Unison is a plus).
