Job Description

John Crane is seeking a results-driven and strategic Internal Sales Manager to build and lead a newly created internal sales support team across the United States. The role is centered on streamlining and centralizing quotation and selection activities to reduce the commercial workload on field sales engineering and to enhance customer responsiveness.

  • Develop and manage a centralized internal sales support team (projected team size of 8).
  • Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to offload Level 1 quoting tasks.
  • Define, track, and improve KPIs such as quotation volume and accuracy.
  • Work with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient handoffs.
  • Travel to regional offices (Swedesboro, Tulsa, Norcross) for training and oversight.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in sales support, commercial operations, or inside sales, preferably in industrial or engineering settings.
  • Proficient with quotation systems, CRM platforms, and customer order workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle escalations.
  • Proven people leadership and team development experience.
