Role Overview: Test Technician II
This role reports to the Lab Manager within the Innovation Group and leads the assembly of prototype mechanical seals, conducts tests, and analyzes results to ensure prototypes meet product requirements. The position involves documenting findings, troubleshooting equipment issues, and suggesting design improvements for test equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret unique prototype drawings, test specifications and requirements.
- Create test plans and assist in research & development experiments.
- Assemble prototype products and perform tests using bespoke equipment.
- Record test data, prepare reports and present findings.
- Maintain safety practices, apply 5S, and manage inventory for NPD projects.
- Conduct fault finding and root cause analysis on equipment and products.
Qualifications & Experience
A technical degree (2/3 years) is required in the US or equivalent experience. At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar role, with a background in problem solving, is essential. Additional academic projects or technical hobbies may also qualify.
