Accounting Advisor at Smith Chason College
The Accounting Advisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining the overall health of student accounts. Reporting to the Regional Student Accounts Manager and Campus Director, this role ensures financial accuracy, timely transaction processing, and effective collaboration with Financial Aid, Admissions, and IT departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate individual student accounts
- Post quarterly tuition and fees in the SIS
- Collect/process registration fees for incoming students
- Create, review, and update monthly payment plans
- Process payments, late fees, and accounting holds
- Coordinate with IT and handle delinquent accounts and collections
- Conduct bank deposits and ensure state/regulatory compliance
Qualifications
Minimum two years administrative experience; one year accounting/collections experience. Must possess strong technical and analytical skills, excellent time management, confidentiality, and professional demeanor. Collaboration and effective communication, both verbal and written, are essential.
Working Conditions
On-campus position requiring prolonged stationary work, occasional physical activity, and the ability to handle repetitive tasks. Reasonable accommodations available.
