About the role
Financial Analysis SME - Remote Contractor
SME Careers, a subsidiary of SuperAnnotate and a fast-growing AI Data Services company, is seeking a Financial Analysis Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an hourly, remote contractor role. This position involves reviewing AI-generated financial analysis and business-finance responses, as well as creating expert finance content. You will evaluate the quality of reasoning and step-by-step analytical problem-solving, providing precise written feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop AI Training Content: Create detailed prompts and gold-standard finance outputs, including models, assumptions tables, narratives, sensitivity analyses, and investment-style summaries.
- Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank AI responses to improve numeric correctness, rigor, clarity, and practical usefulness.
- Ensure Model Integrity: Test AI outputs for calculation errors, misleading interpretations, unsafe assumptions, and bias; validate reliability across business scenarios.
Role Overview
In this role, you will assess solutions for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to the prompt. You will identify errors in financial modeling logic, assumptions, unit economics, valuation reasoning, forecasting, and metric interpretation. Additionally, you will fact-check finance concepts and calculations, write high-quality explanations and model solutions demonstrating correct methods, and rate and compare multiple responses based on correctness and reasoning quality.
Important Note: There is no immediate project for this role. However, if qualified, you will be among the first experts contacted when relevant opportunities arise, and you will gain access to future projects through our expert network.

- Strong command of core finance concepts: 3-statement logic, cash flow drivers, working capital, margin analysis, capital allocation, and basic corporate accounting linkage.
- Proven experience building and reviewing financial models (forecasting, scenario/sensitivity analysis, cohort/unit economics, pricing/packaging analyses).
- Comfortable with valuation reasoning (DCF mechanics, comps selection, multiple drivers) and clearly stating assumptions and limitations.
- Strong quantitative rigor and attention to detail (units, sign conventions, time horizons, circularity, error-checks).
- Ability to communicate complex analyses clearly in writing (executive summary, key drivers, risks, recommendations); minimum C1 English proficiency.
