This is a hybrid role, requiring the successful candidate to attend our Tralee office.

Role Description: Security Solutions Engineer

As a Security Solutions Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineering function within SMBC, based in our Tralee office. Reporting to the IAM Engineering Team Lead, this role is crucial for engineering support of information systems, focusing on analyzing, designing, and delivering best practice solutions in Identity and Access Management. Your primary objective will be to drive our vision of automating current manual processes.

You will frequently collaborate with other team leads, technical support staff, and third-party vendors to achieve security objectives for all entities in the Americas and EMEA. Responsibilities include daily monitoring of system performance and providing essential support for IAM Engineering-related issues. The ideal candidate will be diligent, reliable, and a quick learner, able to remain calm under pressure while applying a logical, methodical, and accurate approach to IAM. You should be adept at taking direction within a team setting and confident in applying individual initiative in line with team values. Excellent observation, strong written and verbal communication skills, creative problem-solving, and out-of-the-box thinking are highly valued.

This position demands effective communication skills for liaising with all levels across the company, operating as part of a team within a multinational financial services environment.

Role Objectives

• Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory and Azure Identity Governance.
• Analyze existing processes and design new streamlined processes.
• Understand SMBC's Identity Access Management Vision, Strategy, regulation, policy, and procedures.
• Implement standardized, consolidated, and automated processes.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Ticketing.
• Prepare and update documentation as required.
• Support application teams with their Projects, queries, and issues.
• Enforce Information Security policy guidelines and procedures.
• Work with teams on process improvement and assist with automation of current manual tasks to reduce manual work.
• Support other IT departments requiring additional expertise to resolve user issues or provide internal support on system performance or maintenance needs.

Qualifications And Skills

• Ability to work on own initiative as well as under direction.
• Excellent attention to detail and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Microsoft Azure certification desired.
