About the Technical Account Manager Role

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) acts as a trusted business advisor for Smartsheet customers, ensuring they achieve their desired outcomes with Smartsheet products. In this revenue-generating role, you will guide customers on aligning their software investments with their long-term business goals, resolving complex technical issues, and driving adoption of Smartsheet’s platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple customer engagements across various industries.
  • Advise on best practices and capabilities of the Smartsheet platform.
  • Develop and execute communication strategies to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Perform quarterly reviews to resolve issues and expand platform use.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Training, and Professional Services teams to identify new opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years in Technical Account Management or similar customer-facing roles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of SaaS products.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical subjects to non-technical users.
  • Experience with configuration, customization, and implementation of SaaS applications.
  • Familiarity with security protocols, SSO, APIs and, preferably, Smartsheet products.

Additional Details

This is a fully remote-eligible role that may require occasional travel to customer sites. Some on-call responsibilities apply. The role offers competitive base salary ranges and market competitive incentive opportunities, along with comprehensive benefits for US employees.
