Job Summary
We're looking for a Marketing Automation Specialist to join our Marketing Operations team. In this role, you'll be the primary owner of driving communication from our Marketo instance - building, optimizing, and maintaining the automated and batch communications that power our marketing engine. You'll also work across a broader stack including Zoom Events, Salesloft, and Salesforce to ensure seamless campaign execution and reliable data flow across systems. This is a hands-on, high-volume production role for someone who is deeply fluent in Marketo and comfortable operating across a modern B2B marketing tech stack. This role requires the flexibility to work a swing shift (9:00 am - 6:00 pm on three days and 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm twice a week) allowing for essential real-time overlap with our US office.
What You'll Do
Marketing Campaign Operations (Marketo)
- Own the day-to-day administration and production within our Marketo instance, serving as the internal subject matter expert.
- Design, build, and optimize automated nurture programs, batch email campaigns, smart campaigns, and segmentation logic.
- Manage all campaign operations including email builds, landing pages, forms, tokens, and A/B testing.
- Ensure database hygiene, deliverability best practices, and compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
- Maintain performance reports and dashboards in partnership with BI to track program effectiveness.
Webinar Production + Management (Zoom Events)
- Support technical setup and execution of webinars and virtual events in Zoom Events, including registration, integrations, and post-event automation.
- Ensure attendee and engagement data flows accurately into Marketo and Salesforce for follow-up nurture and attribution tracking.
- Analyze event performance and contribute to optimization of the virtual event program.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the go-to resource for campaign managers, demand gen, and SDRs on Marketo best practices and marketing technology questions.
- Document processes, workflows, and system configurations to ensure continuity and scalability.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to the marketing tech stack as business needs evolve.
Strong Project and Stakeholder Management
- Manage prioritization and input from business owners across the organization.
- Maintain SLAs and processes to ensure we produce high quality, timely work for our stakeholders within our Smartsheet program management environment.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing operations or marketing automation in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Deep, hands-on Marketo expertise that includes: program building, smart lists, lead scoring, tokens, API integrations, and reporting; Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) strongly preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of Salesforce CRM, including campaign management, lead management, and reporting.
- Experience with Zoom Events or a comparable virtual event platform.
- Familiarity with Salesloft or a comparable sales engagement tool.
- Strong understanding of B2B lead lifecycle, funnel management, and demand generation principles.
- Sharp attention to detail and a genuine commitment to clean, reliable data and email sends.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across marketing, sales, and operations teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with BI or reporting tools such as Tableau.
- Familiarity with UTM tracking, attribution modeling, or revenue operations frameworks.
