Role Overview

As a Senior Machine Learning Research Scientist at SmarterDx, you will lead groundbreaking ML research and development. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and clinicians to transform your innovations into enterprise-grade products with minimal supervision.

What You'll Do

  • Invent and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals.
  • Survey emerging AI/ML research and share insights across teams.
  • Establish and maintain a dynamic, ambitious research agenda.
  • Present and solicit feedback from cross-functional teams including data scientists and clinicians.
  • Collaborate to configure infrastructure for training and inference.
  • Evaluate models in production and update them based on results.

What You Bring

  • Deep understanding of modern neural network architectures and distributed training techniques.
  • Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch and JAX for training deep learning models.
  • Proven track record of high-quality research output in premier venues.
  • Ability to translate research into production effectively.
  • Strong communication skills evidenced by publications and presentations.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. or Master’s degree with 3+ years experience in a related field.
