About the Role

At SLR Consulting, you will play a senior leadership role responsible for developing and delivering environmental planning and permitting services in the Energy Market in Western Canada.

SLR Consulting (Canada) is a team of 600+ environmental, engineering, and regulatory professionals serving clients across 20+ office locations. We integrate over 30 technical disciplines to help clients address complex sustainability challenges. We are truly making sustainability happen.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify new business opportunities and cross-sell services.
  • Lead technical projects and manage financial, resource, and commercial risks.
  • Support business development with proposals and pre-qualification submissions.
  • Direct multidisciplinary project teams in permitting, compliance, and due diligence projects.
  • Implement consultation and engagement programs with stakeholders and regulators.
  • Produce and review technical documents and regulatory submissions.
  • Maintain a positive, team-focused work environment.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in environmental science, engineering, ecology or related discipline.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, particularly in midstream oil and gas.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • In-depth understanding of municipal, provincial, and federal environmental regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in environmental consulting is an asset.
  • Ability to travel within Canada as required.
