About Senior Mechanical Engineer at Slip Robotics

Role Overview

The Senior Mechanical Engineer role is based in Atlanta, GA. You will work on productionizing autonomous robots and innovate new hardware features for effective cargo handling and storage.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for autonomous mobile robots
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams integrating mechanical, electrical, and software systems
  • Innovate hardware features for enhanced cargo handling and storage
  • Transition prototypes into scalable, production-ready models
  • Improve the electro-mechanical reliability of the system

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design and development, ideally in mobile robotics
  • Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical simulation/analysis tools
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
