Job Description

Your New Role as a Legal Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support a Senior Partner and several lawyers within the Commercial Litigation team. You will be an integral part of providing exceptional client service and administrative excellence at SLF Lawyers.

Your Variety Of Work Will Include

  • Work collaboratively with legal practitioners including a Senior Partner to provide comprehensive administrative support
  • Liaise with clients, barristers, and lawyers via phone, letter, email, and in-person
  • Draft, proofread, and file legal documents and correspondence
  • Manage daily meetings and travel arrangements
  • Handle matter management including setting up files, conflict checks, and due diligence procedures
  • Execute end-of-month billing, including invoice preparation and file closures
  • Develop case briefs, synopses, depositions, contracts, presentations, and other formatted documents
  • Plan and organise client and team events

You Will Bring To The Role

  • Proven experience with administrative support to Partners or Executives within legal services is desirable
  • Knowledge of law, regulations, and the court system
  • Exceptional communication and client service skills
  • A proactive approach and strong initiative
  • Confidence with a range of technology and in learning new systems
  • Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team
  • Experience using practice management system Actionstep highly regarded
  • Experience using Redcrest, Commcourts, elodgement, and Citec highly regarded
