What are we looking for?

Our Medical Law team is growing, and we are now seeking a Junior Legal Assistant to join our Sunshine office. This is a Full Time, permanent position offering flexible work arrangements and a 1:1 working partnership supporting a lawyer. You will be integral to supporting and driving the practice from an administration level. Your energy and drive will be integral in achieving successful outcomes along with your positive approach to your work.

A typical day will often look like this:

  • Providing a great level of care and support to our clients in a professional manner
  • Supporting the team with general file management and administration
  • Coordinating appointments for our lawyers, medico-legal appointments for our clients, conferences and mediations
  • Communicating with clients, insurers and other professionals both in writing and verbally
  • Preparing legal correspondence and compiling court documents

What will you bring?

Ideally you will have previous experience as an assistant, personal assistant or legal secretary, particularly in the area of personal injury law, together with the following skills and attributes:

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • A willingness to learn
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated organisation skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Proactive approach and initiative
  • A willingness to learn
  • Available to work 5 days per week, between the hours of 8:30am – 5pm
