Job Description

About Slash

Slash is building the future of business banking, one industry at a time. We believe businesses deserve financial infrastructure tailored to how they actually operate, not generic banking products retrofitted with software. We’re creating a new category of business banking that combines the reliability of traditional banking (high yields, competitive rewards, and uncompromising security) with industry-specific software, stablecoins, and AI-native workflows. Our goal is simple: make businesses more efficient, more competitive, and more profitable.

Founded in 2021, Slash is one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in the world. We power billions in annual transaction volume across a wide range of industries — from internet-native founders to traditional operators. We’ve raised over $60M from leading investors including Menlo Ventures, NEA, Y Combinator, Goodwater Capital, Stanford University, and founders of companies like Tinder and Plaid. Our team brings together fintech operators from Cash App, Mercury, and Finix, alongside founders who have built and scaled their own businesses. We’re headquartered in San Francisco and operate with a strong in-person culture.

Office Manager - New York City

We’re looking for an Office Manager to build and run our New York City office. This person will own the day-to-day operations of the space and play a key role in shaping the in-person experience for the team. This is not a purely administrative role -- you’ll be responsible for creating a high-functioning, well-run office that enables the team to do their best work. You should be highly organized, proactive, and excited about building from the ground up.

  • Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and high-functioning office environment
  • Manage relationships with vendors, landlords, and building management
  • Oversee office supplies, inventory, and equipment; anticipate needs before they arise
  • Coordinate office buildout, maintenance, and any repairs
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding (desk setup, access, equipment, etc.)
  • Plan and execute team events and in-office gatherings
  • Help establish office processes, systems, and best practices
  • Handle mail, deliveries, and general office logistics
  • Partner with leadership, People, and Ops to improve the overall employee experience

Who You Are

  • 2-3+ years of experience in office management, workplace operations, or similar roles
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive and resourceful; you don’t wait for problems, you prevent them
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong communicator with a high level of ownership
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and execute reliably
  • Based in New York City and excited to work in-person 5 days a week

Nice to Have

  • Experience helping open or scale a new office
  • Background in startups or high-growth companies
  • Experience with event planning or employee experience initiatives

Why This Role Matters

Our culture is built in person. This role is critical to making our NYC office a place where people are productive, collaborative, and excited to come in every day. You’ll have a direct impact on how the team operates and grows.
