Privacy & Risk Analyst
Skyline Group of Companies is seeking a passionate, driven, and energetic Privacy & Risk Analyst to join our Legal team at our Head Office in Guelph, ON. This full-time position offers an annual salary starting at $65,000, plus bonus.
Job Description
The Privacy & Risk Analyst will provide operational, analytical, and research support within the Legal team. This role is crucial for assisting with privacy assessments, CASL compliance, legal compliance, incident response, vendor risk reviews, and implementing governance processes. The goal is to ensure Skyline manages personal information in alignment with Canadian privacy legislation and internal policies.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide day-to-day operational and analytical support to Counsel, Privacy and Risk in areas of privacy, data management, Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance, and third-party risk.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments, maintain records of processing activities (ROPAs), and support CASL compliance activities.
- Ensure appropriate controls and mitigation measures are in place for privacy and compliance initiatives.
- Maintain, review, and update the vendor management program, monitoring vendor performance and contractual obligations.
- Support the management and investigation of privacy and security incidents and breaches.
- Monitor relevant regulatory and policy developments at federal, provincial, and international levels.
What we look for:
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English; French is an asset.
- Problem-solving skills to resolve routine and non-routine privacy issues.
- A positive attitude and optimism in handling challenges.
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Law, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology).
- IAPP privacy certifications (CIPP/C, CIPM) are preferred.
- Knowledge of privacy, data governance, security, and AI legislation, regulations, and guidelines from Europe and the United States.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
