Role Overview: Cybersecurity Intern
As a Cybersecurity Intern at Skoollage, you will gain practical experience in protecting systems, identifying vulnerabilities, mitigating cyber risks, and understanding real-world threat landscapes. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates seeking to build a strong and industry-relevant foundation in cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts, logs, and system activities.
- Assist in identifying vulnerabilities and implementing appropriate security controls.
- Conduct basic risk assessments and penetration testing under supervision.
- Support the creation, review, and maintenance of cybersecurity policies and compliance documentation.
- Assist IT and security teams during incident response and resolution processes.
- Research emerging cyber threats, malware trends, and defensive security strategies.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Understanding of network security fundamentals, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and system protection concepts.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite, or Kali Linux (preferred).
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
