About Pre Sales Engineer

Role Overview
As a Pre Sales Engineer, you will partner with Account Executives and Solution Sales teams to position the value of Skillsoft’s and Global Knowledge’s learning solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor, bridging business objectives with tailored learning strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Consulting: Design and present compelling learning solutions addressing customer needs.
- Customer Discovery & Qualification: Lead discovery sessions to align business drivers and learning strategies.
- Presentations & Demonstrations: Deliver tailored demos highlighting Skillsoft and Global Knowledge value.
- Proposal Support: Collaborate on solution designs, proposals, and RFPs.
- Thought Leadership: Stay current on learning trends and workforce development strategies.
- Enablement & Evangelism: Educate internal stakeholders on presales processes.
- Documentation & Reporting: Provide timely reporting on presales activities and maintain records.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Work across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years in presales, solution consulting or technical sales support.
- Strong understanding of learning and development and digital training solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to simplify complex solutions and connect them to customer value.
- Self-starter with high levels of curiosity, resilience, and drive.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with learning platforms, ILT, LMS, or LXP.
- Familiarity with major IT certifications and workforce development trends.
- Consulting experience with global enterprise customers.
Regional Requirements
This role supports customers across Europe and requires fluency in English and Dutch. Additional language skills, such as French, are desirable. The candidate must be based in the region with the capacity to work across time zones and travel occasionally.
