Job Description
Job Summary
Are you a seasoned IT Engineer with deep hands-on experience in Cisco networking and Fortinet firewalls? SKARAMANGAS SHIPYARDS is looking for someone to take charge of our IT infrastructure and support our growing internal network as an Information Technology Network Engineer.
What You’ll Do
- Design, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco-based network infrastructure.
- Manage and secure Fortinet environments.
- Ensure high availability and performance of our data center and core infrastructure.
- Support internal users with networking-related issues and improvements.
- Collaborate with IT teams for infrastructure planning and execution.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Linux systems administration.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g. Proxmox, HyperV or similar).
- Knowledge of FreePBX or other VoIP systems.
- Understanding of fiber optic infrastructure (patching, transceivers, troubleshooting fiber links).
What We’re Looking For
- Proven track record managing Cisco routers, switches, and wireless solutions.
- Knowledge in FortiGate Ecosystem is a plus.
- Solid understanding of Layer 2/3 networking, switching, routing protocols, and network segmentation.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of critical infrastructure.
