Job Description
FPGA Designer
As an FPGA Designer, you design FPGA advanced electronics for high-tech systems and products. In this role, you support our customers with electronics concepts and design for high-tech systems where speed, accuracy and complex algorithms play an important part. You will work for customers in the semiconductor, analytical, and medical equipment industry, within the Brainport region and beyond. Your electronics expertise plays a vital role in bringing high-tech solutions to life, like electron microscopes, advanced pick & place machines, and medical systems.
What excites you as a FPGA Designer?
From our office in Eindhoven and sometimes at our clients' premises you are working on:
- Designing, implementing, and verifying FPGA architectures and high-speed signal-processing pipelines for RF, imaging, and radar applications.
- Integrating and optimizing advanced signal-processing algorithms on FPGA/GPU platforms for high-throughput, low-latency performance.
- Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and contributing across different technical domains to deliver innovative system solutions.
- Supporting system-level integration and debugging.
- Taking ownership of technical components, with opportunities to develop leadership skills and act as a technical lead.
- Sharing, discussing, and expanding technical knowledge with colleagues while maintaining expertise in modern design flows, simulation, and development tools.
This is what you bring to the table
- You have a background in electronics at a bachelor's (HBO) or master’s (WO) level, with at least five years of relevant work experience.
- You have solid experience with FPGA/VHDL/Verilog design.
- Experience with (high-speed) board design is a plus.
- Experience in developing high-speed signal processing pipelines for RF, image, and radar applications, including handling data streams in the gigasamples-per-second range.
- Experience implementing advanced signal-processing algorithms on FPGAs or GPUs, optimized for high-throughput and high-clock-rate architectures.
- You’re familiar with FPGA design flows and have hands-on experience with simulation and design tools.
- You’re well-versed in various development methods and techniques, and you actively maintain your technical knowledge.
- You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
This is what you can expect in return from Sioux
- Flexible 32-40 hour working week, with room to work from home. A healthy work-life balance is very important to us.
- We have 28 holidays with an option to acquire an additional 12 holidays.
- You will work with passionate colleagues who share your drive for technology and business success.
- By combining our expertise in software, electronics, mechanics, mechatronics, mathematics and assembly, we make the impossible possible for our customers and get to work on challenging high-tech projects.
- You get a lot of freedom and responsibility; after all, you know exactly what you are doing.
- Personal coaching and a training budget of €6000 per year, so that you can continue to develop yourself.
- We also find it important to have fun together. We organize a lot for our employees, from family festivals and sparkling Christmas parties, to inspiring knowledge sessions for the high-tech community.
- You will be working at a prime location in the heart of the Brainport region.
- You will be working on the Sioux Campus and can use our Sioux Labs living room every day for lunch, sports, making music, and sharing your knowledge with colleagues in one of our Tech Labs.
High Tech & High Fun
We can tell you all about the typical Sioux-culture and the high-tech challenging projects. About how you can develop yourself, like nowhere else.
