Business Analyst, Payroll Operations

We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analysts to join Sinclair Broadcast Group. In this role, you will analyze payroll data, identify process improvements, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and support overall payroll operations efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular payroll data analysis to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Ensure accurate processing of payroll transactions including salary, benefits, deductions, and taxes.
  • Verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide actionable recommendations on payroll process improvements.
  • Process payroll for a large employee base and maintain data confidentiality.
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports and audit documentation.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend technology upgrades and workflow redesigns.
  • Collect and document requirements, oversee QA testing, and support system enhancements.
  • Develop and implement compliant payroll policies and procedures.
  • Assist with external audits and ensure adherence to payroll laws and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • CPP or FPC certification.
  • Extensive experience in payroll processes and systems, preferably Oracle HCM.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Work Environment & Benefits
