The Offensive Security Engineer Role at Offensive Security Engineer

Join the Scenario Development team to create advanced automated attack scenarios for the SimSpace Platform. You will research, implement, integrate, and test new attack content including tools and campaigns. This role involves working with distributed systems to reliably emulate real-world threat actors along each step of the kill chain.

Responsibilities

  • Research, implement and automate new attack content.
  • Perform end-to-end testing in common environments.
  • Integrate external tools and develop proprietary APT-inspired campaigns.
  • Ensure functionality and evade common defensive tools.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of offensive tactics and network operations.
  • Experience with penetration tools such as Metasploit, Cobalt Strike and others.
  • Proficiency with Git, GitHub, Docker, CI/CD, and Secure SDLC approaches.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and network protocols.
  • Programming experience in Python, PowerShell or other languages.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards including MITRE ATT&CK and NIST frameworks.
  • Certifications like OSCP/OSCE or equivalent are a plus.
