Overview

This is a hybrid role based in Austin, TX, with offices in Central Austin. Our health-tech client is seeking a Senior QA Engineer who thrives in an AI-first engineering culture where artificial intelligence enhances speed, creativity, and coverage in quality assurance.

What You’ll Do

  • Use AI tools like Cursor to rapidly generate test cases from requirements, user stories, and code diffs.
  • Build and maintain automated end-to-end test suites using frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium with AI assistance.
  • Integrate AI-driven static analysis, code coverage tools, and anomaly detection into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Define and manage test strategies for new product features focusing on AI-augmented speed and accuracy.
  • Utilize LLMs and agents to simulate user behavior for broader scenario coverage.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement AI-powered QA platforms for regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
  • Collaborate with engineers on shift-left testing practices.
  • Monitor application performance using tools like Sentry, DataDog, enhanced by AI-powered alerting.
  • Contribute to defining AI-first QA best practices and tooling standards across the team.

Who You Are

You have 4–6+ years of experience in QA engineering, with strong expertise in automated testing frameworks and a proven record of using AI tools to enhance QA processes. You are familiar with modern web applications testing and CI/CD practices as well as working in a collaborative, high-velocity environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI agents for QA.
  • Familiarity with backend testing and API-level test automation.
  • Exposure to healthcare or regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of performance testing or visual regression testing suites.
