About the role
Hospitality Specialist
The Simons Foundation is seeking a Temporary to Permanent Hospitality Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of office pantries and the staff dining room, which serves over 400 employees daily. The Hospitality Specialist will be involved in various aspects of daily operations, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for all staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading commercial dishwashers.
- Organize and clean multiple office pantries.
- Maintain inventory levels and place orders for supplies.
- Unpack and stock food supplies from vendors.
- Manage Grubhub lunch and dinner orders.
- Support breakfast and lunch services Monday through Friday, with additional dinner coverage on Tuesdays and Thursdays (and five days a week during summer months).
- Maintain cleanliness of pantries, shelves, refrigerators, and floors.
- Manually wash various pantry equipment and coffee machines.
- Prepare lunch order lists and print labels.
- Liaise with staff and vendors regarding hospitality needs.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry for employee orders and managing sensitive information confidentially.
- Respond to inquiries via email, phone, and in-person with professionalism.
- Design and upload presentation slides to television monitors.
- Update and back up laptops monthly.
- Submit expense reports through Concur.
- Create signage for pantries and the dining room.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to:
- Move and transport supplies and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds regularly.
- Reach items overhead and below on cabinets and shelves.
- Move frequently throughout several nearby office buildings for cleaning and deliveries.

Compensation
The compensation for this position is an hourly rate of $25 per hour.
