The Role: Sales Engineer
As a Sales Engineer at Silverfort, you will spearhead technical discussions with prospective clients, thoroughly understanding their security and business needs. You will provide expert guidance, working to resolve complex security challenges. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting compelling in-person and remote product demonstrations, clearly articulating Silverfort’s innovative technology, offering professional advice, and ensuring the successful execution of Proofs of Concept (POCs) across diverse environments. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in relaying customer requirements and feedback directly to the product team, contributing directly to the continuous enhancement of our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute all technical aspects of the sales cycle, including delivering high-level technical presentations and demos, responding to technical queries and RFI/RFPs, and managing POCs end-to-end with hands-on implementation.
- Establish and nurture trusted relationships with engineers and technical executives within target customer accounts and channel partners.
- Take charge of the channel’s technical enablement and provide robust support for their presales initiatives.
- Act as an evangelist for Silverfort’s innovative technology, presenting at webinars, tradeshows, and other public forums.
- Collaborate effectively with the Worldwide Pre-Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure maximum overall customer satisfaction.
- Accurately capture, reflect, and maintain all technical aspects of sales opportunities within Salesforce (SFDC).
- Serve as the technical leader for your specific business segment and territory.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in sales engineering or comparable roles, with a strong preference for backgrounds in information security companies.
- Profound knowledge of Identity and Access Management principles and extensive expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, including common authentication protocols (e.g., Kerberos, NTLM, LDAP, RADIUS) – this is a must-have.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Conditional Access, OpenID Connect, SAML) and Federation Services is a significant advantage.
- Hands-on experience in administering and troubleshooting Windows, Linux, and TCP/IP networks.
- A comprehensive understanding of information security concepts and related technologies.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to confidently deliver technical presentations to both C-level executives and technical leads.
Work Arrangement
Candidate must reside in the NYC surrounding area. This role requires approximately 30% travel.
