Role Overview

The Application and Product Security Account Executive drives business growth in software security and secure development services. This role integrates security throughout the software lifecycle, from design to deployment, and requires technical literacy along with sales expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with technology companies, SaaS providers, and enterprise software teams to identify security needs.
  • Promote secure code review, penetration testing, and DevSecOps consulting services.
  • Collaborate with technical experts to design engagement scopes and communicate findings.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to assess application security maturity and framework compliance (OWASP, NIST SSDF).
  • Develop proposals linking secure development to reduced vulnerabilities, faster releases, and improved customer confidence.
  • Build and manage a pipeline, maintaining consistent communication with engineering and leadership teams.
  • Represent Silpa Consulting at industry events in Texas and nationally.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of experience selling software or cybersecurity services with a focus on application or product security.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding principles.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as OWASP Top 10, NIST 800-218, and ISO 27034.
  • Excellent communication with both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Proven success in consultative selling and solution design for complex technical needs.

Eligibility & Requirements

Authorized to work in the U.S., reliable internet connection, and ability to travel for client meetings and events. Availability during standard U.S. business hours is required.
