Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Signifyd is looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our cloud-based infrastructure. You will lead a team of highly skilled engineers to maintain and automate a vast cloud computing environment that supports Signifyd’s decision platform.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud services.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools for provisioning and deployment.
  • Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and scaling.
  • Enhance cloud infrastructure security through access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline.
  • Define and maintain cloud engineering best practices and standards.
  • Optimize applications for cloud deployment in collaboration with software engineers.
  • Evaluate emerging cloud and DevOps technologies and provide integration recommendations.
  • Participate in capacity planning and resource optimization for cost-effective infrastructure usage.
  • Troubleshoot complex engineering issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on cloud infrastructure and security configurations.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of technical excellence.

What You’ll Need

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) with emphasis on engineering best practices.
  • Extensive expertise in Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and databases such as MySQL or DynamoDB.
  • Deep knowledge of security, cost optimization, operational excellence, and performance efficiency in cloud environments.
  • Strong grasp of networking principles, protocols, and high-performance security practices.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Proficiency in software development languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Observability tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, and Jaeger.
