We are seeking a Packaging Engineer II to join our incredible team and make an impact by optimizing packaging solutions across our product suite.

Primary Responsibilities

Product Packaging Commercialization:

  • Analyze, create, and monitor packaging development processes.
  • Collaborate with product design, manufacturing, marketing, and supply chain teams.
  • Monitor factory packaging capabilities and optimize product packaging.
  • Manage pack outs across various categories and channels.

Packaging Innovation and Development:

  • Research and develop packaging solutions for product protection and display.
  • Conduct market analysis on packaging trends and new technologies.
  • Develop processes and guidelines for material testing specifications.
  • Lead design on complex and technical packaging die lines.

Sustainability and Quality Assurance:

  • Implement quality standards and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Incorporate environmentally friendly materials and practices.
  • Conduct tests to evaluate packaging material performance.
  • Analyze test results to identify improvement opportunities.

Strategic Sourcing:

  • Source and manage packaging suppliers and maintain vendor partnerships.
  • Drive supplier matrix and material utilization to assist in cost savings and quality initiatives.
  • Build a network of contacts within the industry.

Requirements

  • Strong background in package engineering, management, and testing processes.
  • Detail-oriented with project management skills and high adaptability.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and design software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with testing standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM).
  • Willingness to travel overseas and visit manufacturers seasonally.
