Overview
Sigma Technologies, a growing engineering and design firm with over 500 team members nationwide, is seeking a Supervisor - Power Utility Design. Position Details
This role involves first-level leadership responsibilities including supervising a team, providing technical expertise and mentorship, and ensuring that project goals and deadlines are met. The role requires working hybrid with occasional Portland in-office presence and an initial one-week paid orientation and training at the Perrysburg, OH home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily functional and personnel activities.
- Perform concurrent work duties alongside team members.
- Support Project Manager/Project Engineer in priority setting.
- Review procedures, specifications, and standards.
- Mentor team members and manage performance reviews.
- Coordinate team work to meet project objectives.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in the electric utility industry with supervisory experience preferred.
- Advanced field, drafting, and/or design knowledge.
- Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Availability during core work hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET) and flexibility for additional hours.
- Willingness to travel and pass required background checks.
Physical Requirements
The role demands prolonged periods of sedentary work, computer use, and effective oral communication in a group setting. Candidates must be capable of performing tasks requiring detailed visual acuity.
