As a System Engineer Automation and Protection, you will be crucial in engineering, designing, and configuring Substation Automation Systems, Microgrids, Power Plant Control (PPC), and Loadshedding schemes. These systems are vital for various voltage levels across India, serving Central/State/Private Utilities, Industries, and Infrastructure power systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop various System Architectures based on specific system requirements.
- Prepare and validate Bill of Materials (BOM), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, schematics, and system configurations.
- Apply strong knowledge of communication and networking protocols.
- Demonstrate expertise in applications such as Microgrid, PPC, or Load Shedding.
- Provide configuration support for Microgrid, PPC, and Loadshedding projects.
- Utilize knowledge of different serial and Ethernet-based protocols used in Substation Automation Systems.
- Understand networking topologies (e.g., Ring, HSR, PRP).
- Engage in discussions with customers for drawing approvals and query resolution.
- Interpret Protection Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Trip matrices, and interlocking logics according to customer specifications.
- Understand Control and Protection schematics for various power system equipment.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation including Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), General Technical Particulars (GTP), Type Test Report (TTR), Functional Design Specification (FDS), and Heat Load documents.
Eligibility Criteria & Skill Sets
- B. Tech / B.E in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- 6 - 10 years of relevant experience in system engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Microgrid, PPC, Automatic Generation Control (AGC), and Loadshedding is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Siemens configuration tools such as SIMATIC WINCC/SCC, Toolbox, Device Manager, and DIGSI.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- A fast learner, capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to perform effectively with minimum supervision.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Servers, and MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of E Base software will be considered an added advantage.
