Job Description
A Snapshot of Your Day as an IT Business Analyst
As an IT Business Analyst within Grid Technologies, specifically embedded in the Digital Grid domain, you will provide technical consulting and architectural guidance for IT and digitalization projects in a mission-critical, regulated energy environment. Your role ensures that solutions comply with company-wide architecture, security, and compliance guardrails, optimally supporting the Digital Grid business areas within GT.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Designs robust IT solutions by evaluating functional/technical requirements and advising on system, application, and integration architectures.
- Ensures compliance with security and architectural standards while supporting tool and platform decisions across multiple projects.
- Acts as a key technical partner, collaborating with internal IT, business units, and external providers, while steering IT Project Managers.
- Serves as escalation path for incident management, overseeing critical incidents and coordinating corrective actions.
- Owns and manages end-to-end business demands, translating business needs into Digital Service (DS) requirements and ensuring alignment with Business Partners and Integration Architects.
- Facilitates effective stakeholder management, collaboration with key users/experts, and proactive involvement in DS communities and projects, including demand creation in EnergyNow.
What You Bring
- Broad technical knowledge, e.g., cloud technologies, APIs, integration architectures, databases, and IT security.
- Experience designing solution architectures and working with complex IT landscapes, ideally in regulated or critical infrastructure sectors.
- Excellent active listening skills and the ability to identify the underlying business need behind requirements and translate it into clear, actionable IT requirements.
- Ability to convey complex technical topics in a structured, audience-appropriate manner with a strong understanding of project management and experience supporting several parallel IT initiatives.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Strong prioritization skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in IT project management or proven ability to coordinate technical projects and stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or comparable qualification.
- Affinity for AI and interest in modern, AI-enabled technologies is a plus.
