Siemens Digital Industries Software (DI SW) is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join their team as an AI Security Engineer. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Solution & Security Officer (CPSSO), this critical role involves developing and implementing robust security frameworks for AI models, algorithms, and datasets. The successful candidate will collaborate extensively with product teams and Product Solution & Security Officers (PSSO) across the organization.

As an AI Security Engineer, you will lead the charge in defining and executing security strategies for Siemens' artificial intelligence (AI) systems. Your responsibilities will include designing and deploying comprehensive security measures to safeguard AI models, sensitive data, and critical infrastructure against a spectrum of cyber threats, adversarial attacks, and potential vulnerabilities. This role demands close collaboration with AI researchers, software engineers, and dedicated security teams to ensure the unwavering integrity, confidentiality, and availability of Siemens' innovative AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Product Solution & Security Officer in all facets of Artificial Intelligence (AI) security, partnering with Legal to ensure adherence to global regulations.
• Develop and implement sophisticated security frameworks tailored for AI models, algorithms, and associated datasets.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and advanced threat modeling for AI systems to proactively identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
• Lead cutting-edge research and foster innovation in adversarial attack detection and defensive AI security strategies.
• Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices into AI applications and interfaces across various AI environments.
• Analyze AI security incidents, perform in-depth forensic investigations, and implement effective protective measures.
• Develop specialized tools to continuously monitor AI security risks and detect anomalies in model behavior.
• Ensure stringent compliance with industry regulations and established security standards for AI governance.
• Mentor and train engineers on AI security principles and best practices, including identifying periodic training and certification requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, AI, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, coupled with a strong interest in specializing and building expertise in AI security.
• Deep understanding of machine learning principles, neural networks, and various adversarial attack methodologies.
• Proficiency in cryptographic techniques and secure AI model development practices.
• Strong practical experience with penetration testing, threat intelligence, and comprehensive security auditing.
• Familiarity with prominent frameworks such as NIST AI Risk Management and secure AI development guidelines.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and proven ability to thrive in high-stakes security environments.
• Strong communication and leadership skills essential for guiding security initiatives across diverse teams.
• Proficiency in utilizing AI tools for day-to-day workforce augmentation and to accelerate dashboarding and reporting processes.
