What The Role is About

The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) role is a hands-on engineering position. Unlike traditional software engineers, FDEs work directly with clients on the frontlines, leveraging advanced technical expertise. You will focus on technical execution, including software development, building data pipelines, integrating systems, and ensuring reliable scalability.

You will immerse yourself in customer workflows, partner with their teams, explore data, and utilize the product landscape to enable scaling. We are also excited about building products on top of Palantir’s software using our own Palantir Foundry & AIP stack. Bring an idea and a PMF, and we can collaborate on bringing it to life and into customers’ hands.

Responsibilities:

  • Go onsite and meet with experts to understand critical questions and identify problems.
  • Identify relevant datasets through deep engagement with customer problems and workflows.
  • Integrate data into stable and extensible pipelines.
  • Build customized workflows for new user groups with the customer.
  • Lead training sessions to ensure product adoption and impact.
  • Present results and proposals to various audiences, from analysts to C-suite executives.
  • Build and deliver demos to new and existing customers.
  • Scope potential engagements in new industries and expanding locations globally.

What We Value

  • Team members who aren’t satisfied with surface-level answers and will dive into the details of the data.
  • Low ego because the outcome matters more than who gets the credit.
  • Extraordinary ability to confront open-ended problems in unstructured environments.
  • Adaptability and introspection; willingness to learn, guide, lead, and follow.

What We Require

  • Software development (Python, Pandas etc.) - MANDATORY
  • Big Data engineering, infrastructure management, and system integration experience.
  • Defining custom software solutions tailored specifically to client needs.
  • Paris-based (Ability to travel 25 – 75%).
  • [Optional-Bonus] Previous experience with Palantir.
  • [Optional-Bonus] French Fluency.

Preferred Experience

We operate at the intersection of consulting and startup. Previous experience in either is greatly appreciated. We ask for a minimum of 2 years of professional experience, but this is not a strict requirement; it all depends on what you bring to the table.

  • 1-4 years in management consulting, technical consulting, or professional services.
  • 1-2 years in a startup or scale-up environment, ideally in a technical or product-facing role.
  • Experience working directly with clients or end users to scope, build, and deliver technical solutions.
