About The Role

Shopify's Technical Program Manager Americas leads large-scale missions and programs to build best-in-class products for merchants. The role drives execution, capability, and impact by focusing multidisciplinary teams and accelerating progress with a startup speed.

As a TPM, you will forge robust and scalable services, collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams, and ensure initiatives meet quality, reliability, and performance standards. The role is divided into three key areas:

  • Payments (Sr. Staff TPM): Lead programs for expanding international payments, onboarding partners, and enhancing payments infrastructure.
  • Product TPM (Sr. Staff TPM): Manage complex initiatives across multiple product areas, driving product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.
  • Infrastructure TPM (Staff TPM): Oversee networking, cloud infrastructure, and cost management programs with expertise in cloud native technologies.

You might be great in this role if you have a deep background in engineering, technical program management, data analysis, or product development, along with a track record of leading cross-organizational initiatives and navigating complex technical architectures.

This role is leadership-level as an individual contributor. Shopify uses highly effective program management methodologies, modern AI tools, and advanced planning practices to stay ahead of challenges.
