About The Role
Join Shopify’s Sales Development team and help merchants take their next step with Shopify. As a Sales Development Representative Americas, you’ll generate pipeline by outbound efforts and conversations. You’ll be the first real Shopify experience for many prospects—setting the tone through sharp discovery, high-velocity follow-up, and clear next steps. Your job is to consistently turn interest into qualified opportunities for our sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage target merchants through high-volume outbound outreach (calls, email, social media, etc.).
- Qualify prospects through outbound discovery and research to assess fit.
- Maintain rapid lead management with disciplined follow-up and clear progression.
- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales team with context and next steps.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to unblock merchant needs and optimize qualification workflows.
- Stay updated on Shopify product updates and the commerce landscape.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate efficiently in high-activity environments with tight follow-up loops.
- Strong discovery and qualification skills with an organized and disciplined approach.
- Experience with CRM and sales tools (Salesforce, sales engagement platforms) is a plus.
- Resilient, results-driven, and able to thrive amidst ambiguity and change.
