About the role
Manager, Forex and Treasury Sales
A leading Wealth Management and Financial Advisory firm is seeking a Manager for FX and Treasury Sales in Mumbai. This role is with a Multi-Family Office and Advisory firm, a subsidiary of a prominent financial services and Wealth Management entity with over 20 years of experience in FX and Treasury management. They offer bespoke investment solutions to High-net-worth individuals (HNIs), family offices, single-family businesses, and trusts, utilizing a state-of-the-art approach backed by extensive industry networks.
Role Responsibilities
This is an entrepreneurial role where you will manage your own FX and Treasury advisory book, P/L, and revenue generation through client acquisition and ongoing advice on an annuity basis. Key responsibilities include improving FX effectiveness, bank dealings and negotiations, managing hedge ratios, market research, treasury diagnostics and policy implementation, modelling, MIS, and engaging with promoters/CFOs across India and abroad. You will also be responsible for cross-selling additional services like wealth management.
Key Activities
- Managing FX risk management and portfolio management services.
- Improving FX effectiveness and bank dealings.
- Managing hedge ratios and conducting market research.
- Treasury diagnostics and policy implementation.
- Modelling, MIS, and client meetings at promoter/CFO levels.
- Cross-selling wealth management and other services.
- Involvement in large-scale treasury optimization projects and policy making.
- Building and leveraging relationships for enhanced business.
Experience and Eligibility
- 10-25 years of experience, preferably from banking treasury dealing rooms.
- Understanding of FX, Banking, Liabilities, and Investments.
- Client-serving experience in a broking or banking sell-side setup is required if you have handled FX in corporate treasury.
- Pure corporate treasury experience may not be suitable.
- Must have an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong desire to grow.
- Candidates must be avid readers, smart, and highly motivated.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree; Management qualification preferred.
- Knowledge of Economics and passion for Treasury and Financial Markets analysis.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Strong English communication (written/verbal) and meeting skills are critical.
