Role Overview

The Senior Financial Crime Systems Manager will lead the development, configuration, and optimisation of the financial crime technology landscape. You will own the end-to-end strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of FinCrime detection, prevention, and monitoring solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the FinCrime systems strategy with a holistic roadmap.
  • Continuously assess threat landscapes and regulatory changes.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and machine learning to optimise risk scores.
  • Design, test, and tune detection rules and model features.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Operations, Product and Technology teams.
  • Manage vendor relationships and support audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Produce system design documentation and maintain robust governance artefacts.
  • Present regular updates to senior leadership on performance and roadmap delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in financial crime systems management in a corporate/B2B environment.
  • Expertise in FinCrime domains including fraud, AML transaction monitoring and screening.
  • Strong understanding of financial crime typologies and regulatory expectations (e.g., FCA, JMLSG).
  • Experience in rule/model calibration and improving operational efficiency.
  • Ability to translate compliance requirements into technical configurations.
  • Experience with large datasets and system-driven alerting tools.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally across Compliance, Technology, Product, and Operations.
