Job Description
The Manager of M&A at Shield plays a critical role in executing high growth roll ups of MSPs. In this role, you will work closely with senior leadership and portfolio company management to drive financial modeling, due diligence, and transaction execution for multiple acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own detailed financial models and valuations.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on target acquisitions.
- Prepare presentation materials for management and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate due diligence workstreams with internal teams and external advisors.
- Create scalable KPI and analytics reporting frameworks.
- Research market trends and competitive landscape.
- Support integration of newly acquired companies.
- Leverage business intelligence tools like PowerBI, Tableau, and Alteryx.
- Maintain diligence reports and process documentation for active deals.
- Manage several deal processes in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or similar roles. You should excel in financial statement analysis, problem solving, and have strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools are required. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field is preferred, along with credentials such as CPA or an advanced degree.
