About The Role
This role is more than regional—it’s cultural, strategic, and central to our global presence. As Senior Social Media Director, you will define and lead our social media vision across the region, shaping how our brands show up, engage audiences, and drive impact in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and beyond. Based in France region, you’ll lead local social strategy while influencing global marketing efforts to ensure resonance with French-speaking and Dutch-speaking consumers. From driving innovative TikTok campaigns in Paris to forging influencer partnerships in Amsterdam, this role combines creative excellence, cultural nuance, and performance marketing. You’ll act as the voice of the consumer in France & Benelux—guiding content, elevating storytelling, and fueling both community and commercial growth.
What You’ll Do
Regional & Cross-Market Strategy
- Develop and execute a regional social media strategy aligned with brand and business goals.
- Serve as the cultural and social media authority for the France & Benelux markets within global marketing conversations.
- Ensure local strategies are embedded in product launches, marketing activations, and brand campaigns.
- Partner with EMEA and global teams to connect with French- and Dutch-speaking consumers more effectively.
- Promote social’s strategic value internally and build alignment across regional stakeholders.
Content & Platform Leadership
- Oversee content and community presence across all major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Adapt global campaigns to the local context and lead development of region-first initiatives.
- Identify and activate platform trends, creator partnerships, and influencer strategies with cultural relevance.
- Define best practices and content guidelines for France & Benelux, ensuring brand consistency and innovation.
Measurement & Insights
- Set and monitor KPIs across markets, optimizing content and strategy for engagement, reach, and ROI.
- Use social listening and trend analysis to surface insights and influence broader brand and media strategy.
- Partner with analytics teams to track performance and contribute regional learnings to global dashboards.
Team & Collaboration
- Lead and grow in-house and agency social teams across France & Benelux.
- Work cross-functionally with regional Marketing, PR, Media, Creative, and Sales to align and activate campaigns.
- Represent the region in global marketing and social media forums, advocating for culturally attuned strategies.
What You Bring
- 10+ years in social media, digital marketing, or content strategy with strong experience in France and Benelux markets.
- Deep understanding of platform dynamics, regional consumer behavior, and local influencer ecosystems.
- Fluent in French and English; Dutch is a strong plus.
- Experience operating in matrixed, international organizations.
- Strong leadership, storytelling, and communication skills with a consumer-centric mindset.
- Proven track record of developing culturally resonant content and high-impact social campaigns.
