Job Description
Our Wheat Ridge, CO laboratory seeks a Laboratory Analyst to join the PFAS team. The role involves preparing and analyzing samples accurately and precisely in accordance with SGS' analytical SOPs. The analyst will work both independently and as part of a team to meet daily production targets, ensuring safe laboratory practices and adherence to internal standards.
Job Functions
- Prepare and analyze samples following SGS’ SOPs.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments.
- Assist with validation and MDL studies.
- Help investigate and respond to client inquiries and CARs.
- Maintain technical records and laboratory notebook.
- Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Chemistry or similar discipline with 0-2 years experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years experience.
- Basic mathematical and analytical reasoning skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) is required.
- Familiarity with LIMS is preferred.
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 lbs frequently.
Compensation & Benefits
This position pays $23.50/hr, is eligible for overtime pay, and includes participation in company benefits, 401K Retirement Plan, paid vacation, floating and company observed holidays, and sick time accrual.
