Job Description

The Opportunity: Social Media Producer at Seven Network

Are you a social-first storyteller ready to make an impact with Australia’s favourite news, sports and entertainment network?

Seven Network is seeking a Social Media Producer for Morning TV. This role requires sharp current affairs instincts and a deep understanding of effective social platform strategies. You will drive exciting cross-departmental marketing campaigns, enhancing their reach across Sunrise and Morning Show social platforms. Additionally, you will be responsible for performance measurement and analytics for Morning TV social content. This casual position reports to the Executive Producers of Sunrise and The Morning Show and is based in our head office in Eveleigh, Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Director of Morning Television, Operations Manager, and Executive Producer to publish and manage daily content across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Lead the editing and production of bespoke social-first content: cutting long-form segments into punchy clips (under 60 seconds) in Premiere, adding sharp captions, subtitles, and graphics optimised for vertical viewing, with every name and title fact-checked.
  • Repurpose on-air and breaking news content into engaging, educational, or shareable social hooks.
  • Amplify marketing campaigns with custom social treatments across posts, reels, and stories to drive reach and engagement.
  • Use smart hashtags, keywords, and trend insights to maximise performance.
  • Manage scheduling, page publishing, inbox messages, story tips, audience feedback, and complaints.
  • Coordinate tasks with confidence and work within Seven Network editorial policies and company procedures.

What You'll Bring

You are obsessed with accuracy and details, passionate about morning television, and deeply in tune with the latest social trends and audience behaviours. Highly organised and hands-on, you thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects, creating engaging social content with sharp editorial judgement, and can confidently communicate with senior stakeholders. You’ll also need:

  • 1–3 years’ social media experience.
  • Proficiency in using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, and other modern content creation tools to produce polished, social platform content.
  • Proven success delivering engaging, high-performing social media campaigns in fast-moving entertainment environments.
  • Demonstrated experience creating compelling social media campaigns that grab attention and drive engagement.
  • Genuine passion for content, storytelling, and morning television.
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, media, social media or other related fields (preferred but not essential).
