Key Responsibilities
As an Engineering Manager on our Mobile team, you will hold a key leadership role, focusing on building intuitive, reliable, and scalable mobile experiences for field technicians and office staff. You'll join a high-performing, collaborative team that values product craftsmanship, innovation, and operational excellence, moving fast without compromising quality.
- Lead and grow a talented team of mobile engineers (iOS and/or Android) through coaching, mentorship, and career development.
- Drive end-to-end execution of features and projects, from quarterly planning and scoping to launch and ongoing iteration.
- Foster technical excellence by guiding architectural decisions, leading code/design reviews, and championing best practices for testing, CI/CD, and app performance.
- Raise the bar on quality by ensuring your team ships robust, maintainable code that meets high standards of usability, accessibility, and reliability.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, and other Engineering teams to build cohesive experiences and deliver business impact.
- Actively support recruiting and hiring efforts, participating in interviews, leading sourcing initiatives, and helping build a diverse team.
- Be hands-on when necessary to unblock your team, debug tough issues, or prototype new ideas, especially involving AI or operational tooling.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of engineering management experience, including performance management and team building.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience (iOS is a significant plus), with substantial time spent building mobile applications and APIs.
- Proven track record of leading mobile teams through product cycles and scaling apps in production.
- Experience leveraging AI daily to solve problems and ensuring teams adopt AI as a tool to ship AI product experiences.
- Deep expertise in:
- Mobile development: Swift, Kotlin, and native mobile SDKs.
- Software engineering fundamentals: Clean architecture, testing strategies, design patterns.
- DevOps & toolchains: CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, debugging/performance tooling.
- Product planning and execution.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical writing skills.
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
