Role Overview
As a Staff Software Quality Engineer, you will define and drive quality strategy for complex, distributed, cloud-based systems. You will combine deep technical expertise with hands-on testing and automation to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design modern test strategies for full-stack quality validation.
- Develop and enhance automation frameworks supporting CI/CD and containerized workloads.
- Build reusable validation and provisioning pipelines using Ansible and Terraform.
- Perform system-level, performance, and integration testing in distributed environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testability requirements.
- Lead and mentor quality engineering teams.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues across networking and deployment layers.
- Explore emerging technologies, including GenAI and AI-assisted testing.
- Champion quality metrics and observability for release readiness.
Qualifications
Required education: BE/ME in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience in quality engineering or software engineering with leadership experience.
Technical expertise needed: Containers (Docker, Kubernetes), networking fundamentals, load balancer concepts, automation tools (Terraform, Ansible), programming languages (Python, Shell, Java), modern testing frameworks, and CI/CD tools.
Preferred Skills
Experience with performance/load testing tools, observability stacks, service mesh, network security, or infrastructure resilience testing.
