Role Overview

The Director, Global Government Affairs and Public Policy Europe is a newly created senior-level role responsible for shaping and leading our government affairs strategy across key European markets. Focusing on France, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands and engagement with EU institutions, the role acts as the strategic voice for ServiceNow with national and regional government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead government affairs and public policy engagement in Europe.
  • Build and manage relationships with government officials, regulators, and EU policymakers.
  • Advise executives and country GMs on regulatory risks and opportunities.
  • Engage in policymaking processes and represent ServiceNow in industry associations.
  • Oversee a team of consultants and lobbyists across EMEA while supporting sales teams.
  • Develop multi-country advocacy strategies based on real-time political and economic analysis.
  • Provide strategic policy advice on AI governance, cybersecurity, data sovereignty, and more.
  • Coordinate with global colleagues for consistent messaging and policy alignment.

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years in senior-level government affairs or public policy roles.
  • Experience in European markets with a proven track record of engaging with high-level government stakeholders.
  • Advanced degree in law, political science, international affairs, economics, or related field.
  • Fluency in English; French and/or German highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, strategic judgment, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience in drafting policy documents such as submissions, briefs, and public statements.
  • Ability to travel within Europe and occasionally to the United States.
