Role Overview

Join the Global Cloud Services organization as the founding member of our Cloud Analytics & FinOps Engineering Platform team. As a Senior Staff DevOps Engineer, you will establish the foundation and architectural direction of ServiceNow's next-generation FinOps governance platform. You will architect, secure, and operationalize a hybrid multi-cloud data platform spanning AWS, GCP, Azure, and on-premises systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Infrastructure & Architecture: Design secure, scalable Kubernetes clusters and hybrid cloud infrastructure using Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement comprehensive security frameworks and ensure compliance with SOC2, FedRAMP, and other regulations.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Engineering & GitOps: Establish sophisticated CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, and GitOps workflows.
  • Observability & SRE: Architect monitoring systems using Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch; set SLIs, SLOs and operational dashboards.
  • Data Platform Operations: Design secure data ingestion pipelines, integrate various data sources, and manage hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Platform Automation & Developer Experience: Automate scaling and resource management via tools such as Coder and Terraform.
  • Enterprise Navigation: Work within enterprise processes, mentor junior engineers, and establish operational runbooks.

Qualifications & Technical Expertise

Requirements include a minimum 10+ years of DevOps experience with expertise in Kubernetes, multi-cloud architectures, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipeline management, cloud security, and compliance frameworks. Advanced knowledge in scripting (Python, Bash, Go) and managing hybrid cloud systems is essential.
