Beverage Bar Back - PT
The Beverage Bar Back provides friendly, excellent service to every customer while keeping the beverage area clean and stocked. This role is responsible for the delivery of requisitioned bar supplies, including CO2 canisters, liquor, wine, beer, fruit, glasses, matches, ashtrays, and ice. The position requires extensive physical exertion, including pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, walking, and reaching, utilizing four-wheel carts, ice containers, and trash containers. Effective communication in English is essential. All duties must be performed in accordance with Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies, procedures, Internal Control Standards, and objectives.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Obtain supplies and equipment for each beverage station, arranging fruits, glasses, and silverware in their designated places.
- Prepare fruit, fill ice bins, and clean ashtrays.
- Wash glasses for the bartender and clear debris from the bar.
- Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security, including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.
- Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons, communicating in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
- Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from employment commencement.
- Attend all necessary meetings.
- Duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations are subject to change as needed.
- Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.
Other Responsibilities
- Pushing, pulling, and turning a four-wheel loaded cart (100-500 lbs) from the liquor storeroom to all bars within the casino.
- Unload carts and place/stack orders in pre-designated areas.
- Return empty carts to the liquor storeroom.
- Remove trash, empty boxes, and soiled bar towels one to four times per shift.
- Sort trash at dumpster areas into proper containers (boxes, trash, towels).
- Return empty trash carts.
- Identify the location of all bars within the complex.
- Thoroughly clean floors behind bars (swing & graveyard shifts), including mats.
- Perform extensive walking, pushing, and pulling.
- Exchange empty liquor bottles for full bottles in the pump room.
- Change Bag in Box, CO2 tanks, and tap kegs.
- Deliver empty bottles to the liquor storeroom area as needed.
- Deliver ice to bars as needed.
- Occasionally act as a Beverage Bartender when required.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education/Experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- High school diploma or its equivalency preferred.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to operate equipment including juice guns, cutting boards, soda guns, ice machines, mixers, pourers, knives, coffee machines, non-alcoholic frozen drink machines, ice tea machines, and other necessary equipment.

Physical Requirements And Work Environment
The physical demands and work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. The noise level is usually moderately loud, increasing to loud on the casino floor. The work environment permits smoking.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and the business community in all situations.
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, bend, pull, and carry beverage stock to and from refrigerators and cabinets.
