Job Description
What You Will Do
As a Data Quality Analyst, you will:
- Contribute to the selection, setup, and optimization of Data Quality (DQ) tools based on consolidated stakeholder requirements.
- Define requirements for DQ dashboards and perform unit testing of delivered solution components.
- Collaborate with Data Governance Analysts and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into effective DQ implementations.
- Design, develop, and test data quality checks aligned with defined standards and best practices.
- Proactively monitor DQ results and execution logs, initiate corrective actions, and coordinate resolution with responsible stakeholders.
- Perform impact analysis, ensure proper lineage metadata availability, and maintain the DQ Catalogue.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure standards are consistently followed when implementing new DQ checks.
- Prepare and manage releases of DQ software components, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Provide L3 support when required and participate actively in agile ceremonies (estimation, design, development, UAT, production launch).
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement in DQ processes and tools.
- Deliver training and support to stakeholders to enhance understanding of DQ root causes, tools, and remediation actions.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to tool evaluation and adoption initiatives.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 2–3 years of experience as a Data Quality Analyst within financial services or banking projects.
- Strong knowledge of banking processes and products.
- Hands-on experience with Data Quality tools and automation capabilities available in the market.
- Mid-level expertise in building queries across databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DataBricks, or Snowflake.
- A solid understanding of DQ design, development principles, troubleshooting, and process governance.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of diagnosing complex functional requirements.
- The ability to take ownership of tasks, drive them to completion, and confidently mentor or guide internal consumers and analysts.
- A knack for thriving in Agile environments and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Exposure to Data Governance tools (Glossary, DQ, RDM).
- Experience with Ataccama DQ.
