Job Description

What You Will Do

As a Data Governance Specialist at SELISE Group, you will define, implement, and continuously maintain enterprise Data Governance policies, standards, and processes across multiple data domains. You will establish and operate a structured governance framework covering Business Glossary, Data Quality (DQ), Reference Data Management (RDM), and Data Lineage. This role involves aligning data definitions, standards, and controls with both business and technical stakeholders within financial services environments.

Your responsibilities will also include maintaining and enhancing core governance artifacts such as the business glossary, data dictionary, data quality rules, and reference data models. You will monitor data quality KPIs and compliance metrics, and actively support governance forums and working groups. Furthermore, you will provide operational guidance, training, and support to stakeholders on governance standards and best practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support ongoing data-related initiatives across the organization. Hands-on data validation and analysis using SQL or similar querying tools will be required when necessary.

Who You Are

You bring 2–3 years of experience working as a Data Governance Analyst or in a similar Data Management role, ideally within financial services or banking projects. You possess strong business knowledge of financial services data domains and regulatory environments, coupled with a solid understanding of core Data Governance concepts like Glossary Management, Data Quality, Reference Data Management, and Data Lineage.

You are capable of translating business requirements into practical governance standards and operational processes and have hands-on experience with SQL or similar database querying tools. Your communication in English is clear and confident, enabling effective collaboration with both business and technical stakeholders. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is essential.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Data Governance platforms (e.g., Ataccama).
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

What You Can Expect

This role offers a long-term engagement (12+ months) on a strategic Data Governance initiative within the financial services sector, with a remote working setup within the EU, providing flexibility and opportunities for cross-border collaboration. You will have the chance to contribute significantly to the establishment and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide governance standards in a collaborative, multicultural work environment at SELISE Group, where operational excellence and continuous improvement are highly valued. Expect exposure to large-scale data domains and enterprise-grade governance frameworks within banking.
