About The Role
The Technical SEO & AI Strategist will work with the SEO search team to accelerate organic growth across both new and legacy search environments at SelectQuote, one of the country’s preeminent national insurance brokerages. Responsibilities include overseeing technical SEO projects and supporting strategic technical web initiatives aimed at optimizing SEO and AI performance.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Execute technical audits (crawlability, rendering, CWV, canonicalizations, sitemaps, internal linking, schema validation, robots.txt).
- Identify, prioritize, and resolve technical issues.
- Lead SEO quality assurance for launches and updates.
- Partner with web and development teams for structured data, mobile-friendly, and JavaScript SEO enhancements.
- Develop automated workflows for insight scaling.
- Collaborate on AEO/GEO research and tests.
- Analyze log and crawl files to understand bot behavior.
- Stay updated on SEO and AI trends.
Skills/Abilities
Collaborative mindset, strong communication, clear translation of SEO needs to actionable requirements, familiarity with LLMs and AI agents, comfort with AI tools, data analysis skills, and a resourceful, autonomous approach.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 5+ years of technical SEO experience, experience in YMYL industries, familiarity with generative AI search platforms, and proficiency with relevant tools like Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, and Looker. Fluency in HTML and JavaScript; Python is a plus. Experience with schema markup and structured data is desired.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Work is primarily indoors with occasional travel to office and operational sites. Prolonged periods at a desk and computer. Noise level is moderate.
